Licensing & Copyright
Last updated: March 2026
Seoul FM is a non-interactive internet radio station that operates under applicable music licensing agreements. We are committed to ensuring that artists, songwriters, and rights holders are fairly compensated for the music we broadcast.
Music Licensing
Seoul FM holds or is in the process of obtaining licenses from the following collecting societies and rights organizations:
FILSCAP is a member of CISAC, the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers, which provides reciprocal licensing coverage across its global network of member societies.
Non-Interactive Streaming
Seoul FM operates as a non-interactive webcaster. Listeners cannot select specific songs to play on demand. While our song request feature allows listeners to suggest tracks, all requests enter a managed queue and are played at the station's discretion. This classification is consistent with statutory webcasting license requirements.
Royalty Reporting
Seoul FM maintains detailed play logs of every track broadcast, including song title, artist, album, timestamp, duration, and concurrent listener count. These logs are used to generate accurate royalty reports submitted to our licensing partners on a regular basis, ensuring rights holders receive proper compensation.
