We brought the first album out, Fresh Cream, in January 1967, And it was a combination, as you say, of some of Your own penned pieces and some old blues and jazz pieces Yeah, that's right "I'm So Glad" and "Toad" are the two pieces that I remember. I mean, "Toad" was where you got a Chance to really have a go at the drums, wasn't it? Yeah, it's, uh, you know, it's, um... I always did a drum thing For every band I was with. With Graham, it was a thing called " Camels and Elephants." Always something I wrote, you know. "Toad" Was a bit... Mike Falana wrote a number called "Toes," which was Quite similar, and I nicked a bit of it, in fact. Mike didn't mind Do you remember the first album when you recorded It, and how the three of you got on together? Um, it was, well, the first few months, it was a bit, um, traumatic Really, because of the relationship with Jack and I was not Progressing terribly well. Um, we had a lot of rows about the writing And things like this. In fact, Jack got me out of the band after Three months, said, "We're gonna get another drummer," which, um They didn't do. But, um, it got... it was very good, really. I mean The rows were occasional. Most of the time, we got on very Well. We had a hilarious time. We recorded it on an 8-track In a studio in South Molton Street. Whether it's still there Or not, I don't know.
